Coplicated Pattern and not a helpful tutorial

I found the pattern somewhat complicated and not very clear (i am an experienced knitter/crochetier). I was happy to find the video tutorial from "Collaboration" but that only made things worse. First, for video demonstration purposes, it's probably better to use a light color not a marled dark color and the tutor spoke too quickly so her verbal explanation ran ahead of her actual stitch making -- which only made things more confusing. I love the patter and I haven't totally given up but it's not on my top 10 list.

Can't wait to begin! Have the yarn and needle, now to find the time.

Dolly’s attempt

I am still on row 3, because of the wording (sc below) so I did a sc in the same loop as the ch 1. I have been doing grannies in various forms so haven’t been following written patterns. I am trying to learn how to follow a pattern. So far, rows 1 and 2 look okay except for the end of #2? I’m not going to quit!!

I used the chart, and it came out exactly like it was supposed to! I chose Mandala in the color of Groot, and it's going to be such a LOVELY gift for my aunt in California!!!

Relaxing pattern

This is a delightful pattern to work on. The graph is easy to follow and the design can be used for several different items. My first one became a scarf but the second one I made I used a lighter thread and made a table runner.
